About me
Charlotte Healy
MBACP Member - Therapist
I have been working as a therapist for several years, gaining experience across a range of services including mindfulness organisations, community-based services, crisis support, and workplace wellbeing. Alongside my clinical work, I am also a lecturer on a counselling course, where I teach and support people who are training to become counsellors.
My interest in counselling stemmed from a desire to gain a deeper understanding of people and how our life experiences shape who we are, how we view ourselves, and how we make sense of the world around us.
I believe therapy can be beneficial for everyone, but finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the process. Feeling able to be open, honest and authentic with your therapist plays a significant role in making therapy effective. Having experienced therapy myself, I understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the difference it can make.
I offer a personal approach to therapy, taking the time to get to know you as a person and understand your story. I aim to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental and genuine space where you feel heard, understood and supported.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. This means I am committed to maintaining professional, ethical and safe practice, ensuring that clients receive therapy within clear standards of confidentiality, respect and care..
