Integrative Therapy for Individuals
Helping you find where to start
Sometimes the hardest part is knowing where to start
You might feel anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or as if you’re expected to have everything figured out. Perhaps you have been managing things on your own for some time, but something has changed, and it's become harder, and you don’t know where to begin.
Therapy can offer you a space to explore what’s going on for you. You don’t need to have all the answers before you start; we can begin wherever you are, take things at your own pace, and see where it takes you. Sometimes starting somewhere is enough.

About Me
Charlotte Healy
MBACP Member - Therapist
I have been working as a therapist for several years, gaining experience across a range of services including mindfulness organisations, community-based services, crisis support, and workplace wellbeing. Alongside my clinical work, I am also a lecturer on a counselling course, where I teach and support people who are training to become counsellors.
My interest in counselling stemmed from a desire to gain a deeper understanding of people and how our life experiences shape who we are, how we view ourselves, relate to other people, and how we make sense of the world around us.
I believe therapy can be beneficial for everyone, but finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the process. Feeling able to be open, honest and authentic with your therapist plays a significant role in making therapy effective. Having experienced therapy myself, I understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the difference it can make.
I offer a personal approach to therapy, taking the time to get to know you as a person and understand your story. I aim to provide a compassionate and genuine space where you feel heard, understood and supported.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. This means I am committed to maintaining professional, ethical and safe practice.
About the Therapy
I offer therapy online, via telephone, or face-to-face from my office based in Ponteland, Newcastle.
Therapy can be short-term or longer-term depending on what you would like to explore, your individual goals, and what feels most appropriate for you.
I offer a free 15-minute phone call so we can get to know each other before you decide to begin therapy. I believe it is important that we both feel comfortable and that the therapeutic relationship feels like the right fit for you.
I work in an integrative way, recognising that no single approach works for everyone. We all have different needs, and these can change over time. By drawing on a range of therapeutic theories and approaches, I tailor therapy to suit you and your goals, viewing the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey.
My main areas of therapeutic training are Person-Centred Therapy and Transactional Analysis. I draw on these approaches to help us explore your experiences, emotions, relationships, and the patterns that may have developed throughout your life. Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of yourself and explore new ways of responding to life's challenges.
Sessions usually last 50 minutes and take place weekly, but we can discuss this further in our initial session.
