How I work as an Integrative Transactional Analysis Therapist
For me, therapy is relational. I want to get to know you as a person, hear your story and understand what brings you to therapy. I believe connection matters. Feeling genuinely seen, heard and understood is an important part of what makes us feel human and connected.
I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, experiences and what we’re working on together. This could look like sharing information with you, doing creative work, using imagery and interventions or listening to understand you more.
My main training is in Transactional Analysis (TA). TA gives us a way of exploring ourselves and our relationships, how we communicate, how we respond to other people and why we can sometimes find ourselves repeating familiar patterns. I will use aspects of TA to give you a better understanding of your patterns, behaviour and thoughts.
I want our sessions to be a space where you can be honest and be yourself, whatever that looks like for you. I see my role as creating a relationship built on trust, respect and collaboration, where we can work together towards what really matters to you.
